The sessions were run as panel discussions between some of South Africa's respected and thought-provoking minds. 702’s Eusebius McKaiser and Katy Katopodis played the role of facilitators and engaged with luminaries, including former minister Pravin Gordhan, human rights activist Kumi Naidoo, Elinor Sisulu, Febe Potgieter, Ranjeni Munusamy, Dr Makhosi Khoza, Paul Mashatile, Sipho Pityana, Solly Mapaila, Mark Heywood, and Roelf Meyer, who discussed Nelson Mandela in the context of present day South Africa.

The discussions created headline news and were picked up on social media channels. Motene adds, "South Africa has no shortage of mind power when it comes to understanding and creating context for our challenges. However, finding solutions relies on our ability to listen, to hear one another, and to find ways to express ourselves productively. The focus of my company is to create an enabling environment for this to take place."

Motene aims to create context and a ‘safe space’ through the chosen physical setting for the discussion. The bringing together of thought leaders is, according to Motene, her way of honouring Nelson Mandela’s legacy and making a positive contribution to South Africa’s future.
