To mark the expansion of the channel, viewers will have the opportunity to experience the launch of the latest programming from Disney Channel.

In October, the actors of the Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM), Descendants 2, came to Johannesburg on a tour to celebrate the film’s release on the channel. The tour was documented and, in December, the channel will be taking viewers behind the scenes with Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, and Thomas Doherty. Descendants 2 will air on Sunday, 3 December at 10:40.

K.C. Undercover, a spy comedy and action series starring Zendaya will have brand new episodes airing each weekend at 09:50. To start off, the series will broadcast a one-hour special called Coopers on the Run, which will air on Saturday, 9 December.

Season two of local series Disney Cookabout will air each Saturday and Sunday at 09:25. Disney Cookabout is a game-show that uses food preparation, cooking, and outdoor exploration to showcase local ingredients and an approach to healthy eating.

Hosts Kirsten Mohamed and Mthunzi Ntoyi return with a new group of contestants who travel across the Western Cape in search of ingredients, returning to the Cookabout kitchen to make various dishes.

Disney’s Rapunzel returns to screens in Tangled: The Series. The series will see her acquainting herself with her parents, her kingdom, and its people.

The series begins with a one-hour special titled Tangled: Before Ever After on Saturday, 2 December at 08:10. and the series will then launch each day thereafter from Monday, 4 December at 16:00. In addition, viewers will be able to catch up with Hotel Transylvania: The Series from Monday, 4 December at 17:45.

Disney Channel is bringing viewers Disney Channel Original Movies each day at 09:00 from Thursday, 7 December. Disney Channel will also be aiming to celebrate the summer break with the 'Hilarious Holidays' slot. Viewers can tune in from noon each day from Thursday, 7 December with shows such as Tangled: The Series, Bunk’d, Stuck in the Middle, Bizaardvark, and more.

Viewers can tune into Raven’s Home in February, which sees Raven-Symoné reprising her role as psychic Raven Baxter from That’s So Raven. In anticipation, Disney Channel viewers can catch every episode of That’s So Raven, daily from Thursday, 7 December at 11:05.

To celebrate the year of 2017, Disney Channel will be counting down its top 30 episodes of the year. On Saturday, 30 December and Sunday, 31 December from 17:50, 15 episodes of various series will run until midnight.

Disney channel will be added to the DStv Compact Plus and Compact packages at midnight on Friday, 1 December. Customers are reminded to go to All Channels to view the channel and add it to their Favourites.
