Laughter is the best medicine
In light of recent events in South Africa, such as happenings within the political arena (the spotlight on the Guptas and state capture) as well as the current water shortage in the Cape, Issue #262 aims to bring readers' focus to the positive side of things with a bit of comic relief.
In doing so, the magazine contacted some local comedians to help bring readers some cheer.
The cover image by editorial cartoonist Zapiro sets the tone for this month’s comedy issue. Readers can look out for more from comedians Barry Hilton, Shimmy Isaacs, Chester Missing and Evita Bezuidenhout.
Former magazine entrepreneur lives the dream
This month's edition features former Big Issue entrepreneur Lavista Ntshoza, age 34, who is living his dream thanks to his perseverance and motivation from loyal customers.
Show some support for aspiring artists
The magazine is welcoming any donations in the form of chalk pastels, canvasses, acrylics and watercolours in support of aspiring artists.
