"Viacom is an important addition to our list of MOST supporters. Its marketing team recognises the MOST mantra, which is ‘by the media for the media’. I am pleased and proud to welcome Strini and his team to MOST," says Sandra Gordon, founder of MOST.

The Bell Award honours an individual who, though not working for a media owner or agency, has made an exceptional contribution to the betterment of the media sector.

It acknowledges someone who is trustworthy, reliable, long-serving and who can be relied in times of conflict/indecision to supply facts and back them up.

Strini Naicker, vice president: commercial and content distribution for Viacom International Media Networks Africa, says, "The media industry is continuously evolving. It is imperative for us to commemorate individuals who have consistently invested their lives."

Ads24/Media24 sponsors the Shepherd Award

Ads24 and Media24 are, once again, the sponsors of the Shepherd Award, an accolade that celebrates the contribution of an individual who has gone above and beyond in their contribution to the betterment of the media and marketing industry.

Introduced in 2014, the award acknowledges individuals who have consistently contributed their creativity, innovation, leadership, counsel and mentorship. They are individuals who have volunteered on media-industry bodies, lectured at colleges, served on industry committees, judged awards and have been described as 'great managers', and 'client-interface people'.

"We always look forward to the MOST Awards because each year offers us something different in terms of feedback, which helps us to improve our service to our clients," says Ané Honiball, GM of Ads24. "We continue to sponsor the Shepherd Award because it’s our way of celebrating true excellence by recognising those individuals who bring creativity, innovation and leadership to the industry."

Jacaranda FM sponsors Media Agency of the Year and the games room

Jacaranda FM will once again provide the entertainment in the games room this year as well as sponsoring the Media Agency of the Year category. To decide on the winner of the Media Agency of the Year, MOST says it relies on a tried-and-tested scoring system, which takes the following into account: knowledge of client brands, service delivery, innovation and involvement.

"The MOST Awards is one of the greatest acknowledgments in the industry. It’s tough out there and people need to be recognised for their hard work," says Jane Ruinard, head of commercial and trade marketing. "It also allows us a deep dive into where we can improve and offers a better flow of decision making for the sales and support teams."
