The networking session will be attended by women who are making an impact in the radio sector. To mark 10 years of Radio Days Africa, one of the discussions at the breakfast will look at how women have helped shape radio in the past decade.

Nick Grubb, Kagiso Media Radio CEO, says, "We think this is a great initiative to recognise and promote the significant inputs made by women in the sector. We are pleased to be able to support it and look forward to the event."

Conference director Tim Zunckel says Wits Radio Academy is delighted to be partnering with Kagiso Media for the event.

"The Wits Radio Academy has had a long-standing relationship with Kagiso Media, which has always supported our cause of learning and development in the radio space. The Radio Days Africa 2019 sponsorship is particularly positive as the conference celebrates 10 years of learning, sharing and engaging," Zunckel adds.

"This year, we are grateful for the support from KM in co-partnering the Influential Women in Radio event. Radio Days Africa is passionate about empowering all sectors in our business, and this event is a perfect way to stimulate conversations and connections," he says.

The three-day conference, which attracts about 400 delegates from around the world, is the largest radio conference in Africa. The 2019 programme will feature roughly 60 speakers from all tiers of radio, including public, online, community and commercial.

Jacaranda FM CEO, Kevin Fine, joins the line-up of speakers. He will discuss the content economy and look at how radio stations can build a digital relationship with audiences.

Radio Days Africa is taking place from Wednesday, 3 July to Friday, 5 July.
