Winning in her capacity as director and founder of The Relebogile Mabotja Foundation, Mabotja won the Woman In Media category and was selected among 96 finalists to take the Woman of Stature title for 2020.

"Winning the Woman of Stature Awards on International Women's Day — I am ecstatic and grateful beyond words," says Mabotja. "To the women who taught me the honour and gift of generosity and giving back — my late grandmother MmaMogoai, my late Aunt Bushy, my Aunt Duku and my best friend Mama — I dedicate this award to you," adds Mabotja.

"[Woman of Stature] winners are prominent within their respective communities and have reached considerable heights within their careers. They each reflect our values and focus at Woman of Stature, which is empowering of women from all walks of life," says Woman of Stature CEO Charlotte du Plessis.

"I initially always felt uncomfortable putting a spotlight on the philanthropic work I do because it was never the reason I gave back. Along the lines of my career in the public space, I started to understand the power of my position and what I could do with it. So, I quickly got over myself and proudly shone a spotlight on the causes that mean a lot to me through The Relebogile Mabotja Foundation," concludes Mabotja.
