According to the station, mental and behavioural disorders are found in people of all regions, countries and societies and this conversation will help its listeners to understand that it affects everyone and it is okay to talk about it.

The conversation is set to explore the following aspects regarding the topic:
  • navigating the workspace as a person suffering from a mental illness
  • the possible stressors and triggers within the office building
  • making the office mental health friendly
  • taking leave for mental health related issues, and
  • what employers can put in place to help.
The station says that another angle that will be discussed is the different institutions available to deal with mental health — whether for finding a job, carrying out stressful tasks, or knowing when work is compromising one's mental health and more.

Listeners will be guided through the conversation with notable guests, such as television host, actress, dancer, DJ and model Lalla Hirayama. She will be opening up about her own struggle with panic disorder.

The most notable mental health conditions include:
  • bipolar disorder
  • depression
  • mood swings
  • schizophrenia
  • eating disorders
  • psychosis
  • post-traumatic stress disorder
  • obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • anxiety, and
  • panic attacks.
"I'm very excited to be exploring mental health at work as it is a struggle that stays top of mind for me personally. As someone that suffers from ADHD and bipolar disorder, I go into the work environment with constant worry of being overwhelmed, lacking productivity and going into a space with many triggers," says producer and presenter of this episode of Perspective on Y Mthaux.

"This conversation is going to enlighten the burden carried by those going through this journey and educate those who aren't well versed on the subject," concludes Mthaux.
