In partnership with Rise Against Hunger Africa, 5FM listeners, corporate teams, staff and some other well-known names — including a team of celebs and influencers — came together and packed 26 000 meals in just six hours, says the radio station.
5FM says that this is what happens when youth energy meets purpose.
5FM and the 5 Nation will be rolling up their sleeves again to pack nutritious meals at Sandton Convention Centre on Friday, 18 July, says the radio station.
5FM concludes that the event will be broadcast live on 5 Mid Mornings with Stephanie Be and Yonaka from 09:00 to 12:00, to help spread the word on this initiative. Last year, the station helped to pack 582 552 meals.
