The new line-up strengthens 5FM's role as South African youth platform, offering listeners a mixture of talent, social media snapshots, creator-driven content and shows that reflect and 'Ampli5' real life in real time, says the station.

According to 5FM, changes include the following:

5 Mid Mornings with Karabo, weekdays from 09:00 to 12:00, now with Karabo Ntshweng at the helm, blends music, conversation and audience interaction, reflecting the fast-paced lives of young professionals and students — a relatable voice balancing ambition, wellness, career growth and socially active living.

5 Lunch with Lula Odiba and Nadia Romanos, weekdays from 12:00 to 15:00, welcomes the 5 Listening Sessions, where all Mzansi's favourite artists perform their newest tracks live, releasing new music for a first play, announcements and sharing all the inside information on what is happening in their lives and careers, adds the radio station.

Sundays between 10:00 and 14:00 marks a shift in 5FM's weekend youth offering with The Sunday Social Club on 5 with Harrison Mkhize, a show that will be the definitive pulse of all the topics and events that Mzansi's youth has to know. It brings social media to the radio with a weekly wrap-up of the latest in news and music, as well as creators and influencers.

5 Nights, Mondays to Thursdays between 19:00 and 22:00, is now hosted by Jodell Tantij. It's a youthful night show driven by music discovery, culture, and conversations. The show also introduces a new feature, PH & Friends, airing from 19:30 to 20:00, where DJ PH, a familiar face at 5FM, makes a welcome return to host exclusive conversations with some of the country's DJs.

Late nights continue with 5 After Hours with Boipelo Mooketsi, Mondays to Thursdays from 22:00 to 01:00. A late-night slot with trending and even taboo topics and music.

Fridays ignite with Party with PH from 18:00 to 22:00, where DJ PH prepares for the weekend, adds the radio station.

Weekend late-nights will broadcast Taste the Weekend with Taste Champagne, Saturdays and Sundays from 22:00 to 01:00, a weekend soundtrack of personality.

The station also salutes and honours those who have been a vital part of 5FM's growth and successes. The likes of Roger Goode, Stephanie Be and Leah Jazz have played a role in shaping the brand and connecting with audiences nationwide. They move on to exciting new opportunities, some within the SABC, and 5FM wishes them every success as they continue to grow and inspire.

Masi Mdingane, Business Manager for 5FM and Good Hope FM, concludes, "Our 2026 line-up strengthens 5FM's position as South Africa's youth platform — bold, relevant and deeply connected to the culture young people are creating every day. We're expanding our digital footprint, elevating fresh voices and building a radio experience that lives on-air, online and everywhere youth culture moves. This line-up is designed to truly IMPACT listeners, inspire partners and keep 5FM at the centre of the country's youth mover and shaker conversations."
