The Gen Game is back and better than ever!
Media 135
The second season of The Gen Game will be back on air from 6 January 2007 at 18.30 on SABC1. This season will be less serious, more entertaining and it will be sporting fabulous new game, as well as some of South Africa’s own celebrities.
The Gen Game has been running in Britain for over 30 years and now it is proving just as popular on South African television.
Taking the best elements of the original format, the South African Gen Game is uniquely tailored to the South African environment, and the generation gap within the South African context is resonated throughout the series by using local references.
The show is classic television entertainment with a difference: it combines a game show format with chat/talk elements. The programme pitches two teams of contestants a generation apart against one another. The teams play four fun, challenging and revealing games, and the winning team then has the chance to play the endgame and win great prizes or even a bonus super prize specifically modified for the team.
The young and vibey Sydney Mathlaku will once again host The Gen Game every Saturday at 18.30 on SABC1.
