What to expect on SABC1's Ses'khona...
Media 56
SABC1 viewers will be treated to episode 18 of Ses’khona on Thursday, 15 February.
The first insert will see Teba, Mr Shumba, aka the Original Social Worker, in studio. Mr Shumba describes himself as a Reggae artist based in Cape Town whose love for the arts started from community theatre. He started recording in 1996 with a group called Skeem and returned to Cape Town to start his solo career. Ses’khona is invited to studio with the Original Social Worker in Mandalay, laying down a track with one of his producers, Ras Ricky.
Insert two will feature the Shoprite/Checkers Women of the Year launch. The most prestigious award for women in South Africa will this year launch at Lekgotla, Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton. The Award is celebrating its twelve year as a major initiative for National Women’s Day and we would be honoured with your presence when a host of esteemed achievers will join hands to officially launch the 2007 Award.
Ses’khona will talk to Julia Moloi in insert three. Moloi, founder of We Are Capable, has overcome her own disability to become the first editor of a magazine for people with disabilities. Aiming to promote and highlight the plight, struggles and triumphs of people with disabilities, Johannesburg-based We Are Capable offers a voice and platform whereby those with disabilities can be heard.
Ses’khona was invited to a Samba Brazilian Party at The Palms. Sphiwe dressed up for the occasion and shared some moments with some of Jozi’s socialites.
Don’t miss Ses’khona at 18:30, only on SABC1.
