On Wednesday, 4 November, ANIMAX announced that it will now be available via Telmar, giving local advertisers and brand champions an opportunity to reach ANIMAX’s highly desirable youth and young adult demographic.
Launched in South Africa exclusively on DStv’s Premium bouquet in November 2007, ANIMAX has since established itself as a unique youth entertainment channel, with programming appealing predominantly to 16- to 34-year-olds.
Earlier this year, the channel evolved its programming schedule by premiering a variety of edgy, alternative live-action and reality series, further broadening the channel’s reach and making it an even more compelling destination for young adults. Current first-run series on ANIMAX include 'Ninja Warrior' (nightly at 18:15); 'Next' (weeknights at 19:50); and 'Takeshi’s Castle' (weeknights at 20:35).
