Moutse Community Radio Station (MCRS) broadcasts on the 96.3 FM frequency in Mpumalanga. It was founded by members of the Rural Women's Movement (RWM), a national organisation, which lobbies around issues of concern to rural women. MCRS is a member of the National Community Radio Forum, the national organising body in South Africa.
The radio station serves a community of about 900 000 people in 48 villages, and two developing towns. Some of the villages include: Ntwane; Marapong; Driefontein; Dennilton; Kirkforsfontein; Leeufontein; Watervaal; Verena; Leeufontein; Dikgwale; Tweefontein; Ramokgaletsane; and Magakadimeng.
The languages used in programming have the following distribution: Sepedi 40%; isiZulu 25%; isiNdebele 20%; Setswana 5%; English 5%; and Xitsonga 5%.
