Radio Teemaneng Stereo (RTS) started with its operation from the corner of Chapel Streets in Kimberley's CBD and moved to 31, Scanlan Street in 1997 with the assistance of the Department of Education; Sports; Arts; and Culture. Then Minister of Communications, Dr Ivy Matsepe-Casaburi, officially launched RTS when it went on air and was also the guest at the launch of the new logo that was held at the Flamingo Casino on 2 March 2008. The mission and objectives of the station are to inform; educate; and entertain through effective and efficient broadcasting.

Radio Teemaneng broadcasts on the 89.1 MHz FM stereo frequency in the Northern Cape, and reaches Kimberley; Warrenton; Kuruman; and the borders of the Free State. The station reaches LSM groups one to eight in the 16 to 49 age group. Radio Teemaneng broadcasts 24-hours a day, seven days a week in Tswana; English; isiXhosa; and Afrikaans, mainly targeting the black community. The music-talk ratio is 65:35.
