The return of SABC2 brand new 50/50

SABC2’s long running wildlife and environmental show, 50/50, makes a come back on 5 April. After an almost one year break, 50/50 returns with a new look and a variety of new specialist presenters whilst retaining the experienced hosts and production crew that kept the show running, making sure that it remains the most successful environmental programme in South Africa.
SABC2’s long running wildlife and environmental show, 50/50, makes a come back on 5 April. After an almost one year break, 50/50 returns with a new look and a variety of new specialist presenters whilst retaining the experienced hosts and production crew that kept the show running, making sure that it remains the most successful environmental programme in South Africa.
The new look 50/50 boasts a wider audience appeal, broadcasting in four languages - English; Afrikaans; Zulu; Sotho and promises to investigate more stories within the African communities while educating the nation.
Host, Ntokozo Mbuli, who is also the Assistant Producer of the show is joined by the well-know weather presenter and a master of environmental science, Simon Gear and an accomplished Director; Cameraman; and Editor in the entertainment industry, André Cronje.
Each episode consists of four segments, which includes presenter’s links and interviews in-studio or on camera. The Veldfokus slot is presented by JC Engelbrecht and Katlego Maboe. Andre Cronje is joined by Zamakuhle Mkhize to present the 'Eco-warrior' segment. Their passion,and talent was discovered while working for Earth touch and Wild Touch.
The segments will also bring the viewers closer to the nature surrounding them in an exciting manner that informs and entertains them through 'Getting Connected with Braam', presented by Braam Malherbe.
For the first time in 50/50 history the show introduces the youth segment, called 'It’s Up To Us', presented by two young presenters, Jarryd Hermann and Siyabonga Beyile.
Joining the main anchors are the talented and energetic field presenters: Sheena Adams; Pierre Breytenbach; Jacques Brodryck; Dominic Wilhelm; Mduduzi Seakamela; and Wendy Wilson.
50/50 débuts on Monday, 5 April at 19:30 on SABC2.
