Following all the excitement around the
Survivor Reunion Show as well as the special additional episode of
Survivor South Africa: Santa Carolina, some of the celebrity contestants are embarking on projects to increase the more than R2-million already donated by M-Net and show sponsors Pick n Pay and Liqui Fruit.
On Friday night, 30 April, Craig Jacobs, in association with Gary Rom Hairdressing, will be auctioning off some of the designer outfits he created for the live
Survivor finale at the Celebrity Catwalk for Charity.
The event will be held at The Venue in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg, from 19:30. Tickets cost R200 and the auction is in benefit of Craig’s Survivor Charity, The Trust.
One of the items that will unfortunately not be up for auction at the Celebrity Catwalk for Charity event is Izak Davel’s infamous mankini. Good news, however, is that M-Net is extending the online
Survivor auction by another week in an effort to assist the Survivors to raise more funds for their charities. Currently, the highest online bid for the mankini is R3 500.
While fans have a few more days to bid for an island item belonging to their favourite Survivor, fans can now also own a piece of tribal council. One of the masks from tribal council has been added to the list of auction items and the proceeds will go to Missing Children, the charity supported by show host Nico Panagio.
The online auction will close on Wednesday, 5 May at midnight.
The items include Cindy Nell Roberts’ gold pendant; Ashley Hayden’s hat (and that hidden immunity idol that sealed Kaseran’s fate); GiGi’s purple dress; and Darren Maule’s’ Panama hat.
