Angie’s stay on Survivor South Africa: Malaysia came to an end in the penultimate episode of the series. This is as her alliance partners voted her out in Tribal Council. She managed to secure her spot in the game by winning immunity last week, but her antics caught up with her, and her partners lost patience with her, as she shuffled between allegiances. Amanda is the lucky one this time, as she survived being excluded from the 4-strong alliance. Lorette questioned Angie about the honesty of her alliance partners after they disappeared into the bush without her. Thereafter, Lorette exposed Angie’s conniving, and asked Grant and Mandla whether Angie was really sincere. The Reward Challenge this week offered a tantalising prize: a KFC Family Feast with two loved ones. In the game, contestants had to memorise a series of numbers and could not write them down until the last contestant fell to the ground after hanging from a bar. The winner of the challenge was Mandla, and he spent some quality time with his mother and sister. Another physical challenge came to the Survivors’ door in the Immunity Challenge, where they had to stretch across a series of bars, changing to more challenging positions as their fellow contestants slipped. Mandla and Lorette were the last to hold out, but Lorette changed the game by telling Mandla that she really needed to win. He handed her immunity from a vote that was bound to be tricky. The jury phase of the game has begun, and contestants were shocked to see Dyke and Angela on hand as observers. Mandla revealed that he had found the secret Immunity Idol and secured his place in the game. The vote for elimination was turned to Amanda, Angie and Grant. The contestants will next week compete in further physical challenges to see who holds the cards in the final.
