First published in 2004,
The Ridge magazine quickly went from local community curiosity in the Umhlanga and La Lucia area to a firm fixture in the hearts and minds of the community. The brand, built upon quality content; production; advertising; and distribution, has always sought to report on and tap into key happenings and issues in the community, to inform with well constructed in-depth features and attractive design. The magazine prides itself on disseminating news you will not read in the broader, mainstream media.

In recent weeks,
The Ridge has celebrated the arrival of a much-anticipated online magazine to bolster its print and current web presence. Where the publication has previously been archived for perusal on the web, the site,
www.theridgeonline.co.za, has an entirely new focus and agenda, to become the interactive online option of choice for
Ridge readers and members of the community. Based on a user-friendly platform, the website will cover all the local social and business events; cover local news; give tips and news on crime awareness; publish an up-to-date what’s on column; feature travel, cooking, motoring etc; and offer views from top-notch columnists. Or take a look through the gallery of videos and photography.

Importantly, readers are encouraged to submit their thoughts; comments; photographs; letters; events; and news and crime awareness tips.
It’s a chance for the Ridge community of readers to get involved from the comfort of their own homes.
