Fine, who has 16 years radio experience on community and national radio platforms, has big plans for the station, and will focus on generating new information, music, entertainment, community and national issues.
“At the moment,
101.9 Chai FM provides programming that is informative, educational and relevant to the Jewish community. We’re looking to re-launch the station and make it and the frequency relevant to the wider broadcast community, the media and advertisers.
“The existing audience is made up of big businesses, decision makers and the upper echelons of the LSM scale, and with that as our platform we are now forging a way forward that will give the station mass appeal,” says Fine.
Research indicates that
101.9 Chai FM currently has approximately 35 000 listeners who are regarded as achievers, believers, seekers, thinkers, and who make a difference to South African society.
101.9 Chai FM broadcasts 24 hours a day, six days a week. For more information, visit
