Premiering Mondays from 10 January 2011 from 20:00 on Discovery Channel (DStv, Channel 121), 3 new shows will take to the waterways and oceans of the world to uncover the critters of the deep – some closer to home than we all thought!

In River Monsters 2, host, biologist and extreme angler Jeremy Wade returns to catch more extraordinary super-sized fish. This international excursion takes Wade through the dark side of watery depths as he engages in a battle of wills with the beasts that lurk in our planet's rivers and lakes. With loads of content shot in Africa, viewers will get an insight into the myths, mysteries and monsters that lie in wait beneath the continent’s waters – from killers in Congo and the Rift Valley to South Africa’s record-breaking bull-sharks…

The thrilling adventure series continues in Extreme Fishing as actor Robson Green travels the world in search of the planet's most incredible fishing experiences. In his third series, titled the Extreme Fishing World Tour, Robson will be spending four out of five months on the road and travelling over 60,000 miles. He'll be fishing in 12 different countries, on four different continents and casting his hook into nine different seas and oceans – and of course he'll be doing it all with his own unique brand of supercharged Geordie fishing enthusiasm.

In a brand new series, Man vs. Fish, extreme fisherman Matt Watson dares to take on some of the ocean’s most fearsome predators. He travels the seas accompanied by other international anglers seeking out the planet’s biggest and most fascinating creatures. During the series, Matt tests the deadly mako shark's power, faces Oklahoma River’s biting catfish and wrestles with a giant flathead.

The calm waters may be deceptively deceiving, but let Extreme Fishing Night open your eyes and minds to the fascinating creatures of the deep (and not-so-deep).
