The founder and former CEO of Verimark Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Willie started the company with a capital of R5 000. On his retirement, Verimark was listed on the JSE for half a billion Rand. Willie pioneered the direct response TV marketing industry in South Africa, growing his company to become the largest of its kind in this industry.
Willie is currently the CEO of Inventec, a company that specializes in the invention, development and commercialisation of unique and innovative products for local and international markets. Willie holds over 60 patents and his inventions are sold in more than 100 countries around the world.
Willie is a frequent speaker on radio, television and at business schools. Over the past 5 years he has been the keynote speaker at the SABS Design Institute “Idea to Profit” seminars. He is in the process of writing a book on the topic of Invention and Entrepreneurship.
