Following the promising singers who had already turned up in Cape Town and at the first-ever Polokwane auditions last weekend, the challenge now set to the Kingdom of the Zulu is to match the kind of talent that Natallers like Graham Watkins, Jason Hartman and L’Loyd Cele brought to previous seasons of Idols.
Jason was there at Moses Mabhida stadium this morning to welcome his fellow KZN-contestants to the most important audition of their lives. “Remember to have fun,” he advised them.
Idols hopefuls who manage to sing their way through today’s first round of auditions will face the intimidating Idols judging panel of Randall Abrahams, Gareth Cliff and Unathi Msengana and special celebrity guest judge Kurt Darren on Monday [7 March].
After the Kwa Zulu-Natal auditions, only the City Of Gold remains! Gauteng auditions will be held in Soweto at the DOBSONVILLE STADIUM on Saturday, 26 March, and in Johannesburg at MONTECASINO on Saturday, 2 April.
