A Tribe member whom they regarded as the most unlikely person to survive on a desolate island. Tasleem was Raituhn’s choice, while another Durbanite, Alison de Chazal, was selected by her tribe, Goma. In a twist to the Survivor format, host Nico Panagio then bestowed upon the two ladies a curious curse - in the form of a black cowrie. The bearer of the black cowrie would enter each tribal council with one vote against her name – unless she deflects to another tribe before an immunity challenge.


In the previous episode, Tasleem’s best friend on the island, mathematician Harry Wiggins, concocted a plan to divert the attention away from Tasleem and the vote against her, by picking a fight with actor Hykie Berg. His ploy paid off, but turned out to be a temporary solution to keep Tasleem in the game.
The celebs - Hykie and Bonnie Henna especially - were not happy with Harry’s behaviour and the way the plebs were gunning for them. So, after the once-mighty Raituhn’s third consecutive loss at the challenges, the plebs realised that their votes at tribal council would send a powerful message about the unity of the tribe. Instead of choosing celeb Bonnie, who was at the brink of collapsing at the immunity challenge, they opted to sacrifice the weakest of their group: Tasleem. It could also be to their advantage if she passed the curse of the black cowrie on to one of the celebs.
Tasleem fulfilled their expectations, handing the black cowrie to Bonnie, just before host Nico Panagio snuffed out her torch.

• At Goma, Sindi is fed-up with Vanessa’s bossy behaviour.

• Roxy shares the clue to the hidden immunity Idol with Vanessa. They decide to keep it a secret between themselves and fellow celebrity Jacques, but not to include MXO in their inner circle.

• While Harry is still looking for his lost immunity Idol on Raituhn, Vanessa and Roxy find theirs hidden under a rock.

• Tribe Goma discovers that yams can fill your tummy – if you are fine with the fact that it burns like hell!

• Tejan identified Letshego as the strongest female on Raituhn and approached her with an alliance proposal. She accepts, on the condition that Tejan will do all the strategising and conspiring on their behalf!
