The spanking new line up is certainly filled with a few pleasant surprises and to kick start the day, listeners will now be woken up on a weekday with a different set of voices to get them powered up for the day ahead. Good Hope FM Breakfast with Guy McDonald (06:00 to 09:00) will now place the previous afternoon drive maverick team in studio early on weekday mornings. Presenter Guy McDonald promises to put a new vibrant spin on the show by implementing a lot of wit and humour, combined with great talk and music. Guy will be joined by his entertaining yet eccentric team mates, Carl Wastie and Tracey Lange, who will keep listeners up to date with sports and news of the day.



To spice things up a bit, notorious legendary Nigel Pierce, will now host the mid morning show (09:00 to 12:00) and listeners can be assured that this show will keep them glued to the radio. News reader Sandra Rosenberg will join Nigel in studio each morning.



The weekday lunchtime show (12:00 to 15:00) will still be served by the very familiar and trendy Ayanda Tini. Joining her in the show will be news reader Vania Cloete-Collison and sports presenter Brandon Baatjies.



Listeners tuning in to the afternoon drive show are in for another treat as the hip and happening Good Hope FM Top 30 (Saturdays from 09:00 to 12:00) presenter SeanO, will now host this show every weekday (15:00 to 19:00). SeanO promises to bring the same slick, dynamic and fast paced tempo to the drive show as listeners are used to experience in the Top 30 show. SeanO’s in studio team mates will be newsreader Leigh-Anne Williams and sports presenter Eugene Mpatheni.



Hip Hop lovers will be pleased to know that South Africa’s number one club DJ, Ready D, will still captivate his audience from Mondays to Thursdays with the Ready D Show (19:00 to 22:00), featuring popular R&B and Hip Hop tracks, interviews with local musicians and with focus on issues related to the community.



Ebrahiem Inglis will keep late night listeners from Monday to Thursday entertained with That Radio Show (22:00 – 02:00) and Tyrone Paulsen will continue to host the 411 show every Friday (19:00 to 22:00) and Saturday (18:00 to 22:00), featuring popular club mixes that will set the mood for a playful night out on the town.



Stephanie B and newcomer Makabongwe Tanga will play host to the weekend breakfast show on Saturdays (06:00 – 08:00) and Sundays (06:00 to 09:00). Geri Olwagen will join the team as news reader and the sports presenter will be Brandon Baatjies.



Saturday morning holds another delight with Keo on Rugby (08:00 to 09:00). Mark Keohane, one of the most controversial and outspoken rugby journalists in South Africa, will tackle anything and speak to everyone, giving listeners all the information they might desire on anything related to the world of rugby. Mark believes that the listener’s opinion matters as much as his does. He is joined in studio by Scott Gibbs, Ryan Vrede and Jon Cardinelli.



On Saturday mornings Mark will be followed by SeanO, who will host the ever popular Good Hope FM Top 30 show (09:00 to 12:00) joined by newsreader Leigh-Anne Williams. The UK Top 40 chart show on Sundays (09:00 to 12:00) will be hosted by Mixi and news reader Geri Olwagen will keep her company.



The rest of the weekend line-up remains mostly unchanged with Carl Wastie hosting The Teen Show (12:00 to 15:00) on Saturdays. This show will be tailor-made to speak to teenagers about their music, fashion, celebrities, events and new-media like mix-it, ensuring that the station reach out to youths in a language that they can relate to.



Other favourite DJ’s, Mixi, Dino Michaels, Ian Ward, Stan Mars, TK, Bradley Knight and Parusha Naidoo, host of the South African Top 10 chart show (Sundays from 22:00 to 02:00), will still be making the airwaves rock in their regular slots.



Nosipo Tisani, Good Hope FM’s Campus DJ winner of 2010, will continue to host her show on Sunday mornings (02:00 to 06:00). An individual show will be allocated to the 2011 Good Hope FM’s Campus DJ winner Dell Mabunda, as soon as she has completed her training.



With the new line-up, the station continues to support various CSI initiatives in and around the city like the annual Keep Cape Town Warm Campaign. Good Hope FM will also continue hosting its DJ Academy on a regular basis, where members of the public will be taught the know-how and skills to get into the radio and DJ industry, as part of the ongoing search and development of new radio talent in the mother city.
