Motsweding FM new line up

On Friday, 1 April, Motsweding FM will juggle its line-up with hot emerging talent, fresh segments and seasoned broadcasters who will bring exhilarating radio to listeners of the station.
The effervescent Stella Sebalo who previously produced Fokotsa Gee and the ever relevant Benny Motaung a.k.a Benny-Boogie-Eyes of the Iketleng Fame will take over as hosts of the Morning Breakfast “Ragoga Gee!” show weekdays from 7:00-10:00.
They will be complemented by a robust team that includes seasoned radio personality, Cebo Manyaapelo who is joining the team on the Sport attribute.
Lindiwe Modise will drive the Brunch show “Resemeletse” from 10:00-14:00 joined by the electrifying Ralph Molefe, who’s been with the station for the past six month. He brings a wealth of radio experience, having started at Radio Mafisa, a community station in Rustenburg and later North West FM. Ralph will spice up the show with insights on pertinent issues and together with MaLindi’s they will bring light to these issues whilst interacting with listeners across the board.
The afternoon show “FOKOTSA GEE” will envelope the day part menu from 14:00-18:00. Kabelo “KB” Molopyane will be retained as the host, and will joined by North West finest Felix “ THE CAT” Nhlapo as a new addition - augmenting the Fokotsa Gee Crew. Oatile Jacobs joins the team on the Sport desk.
“These imminent changes are necessary because they reflect the ever changing landscape and the era of digitelia in the radio industry said”, said Motsweding FM’s Station Manager, Sibongile Mtyali. “We are looking at on-air personalities who can coin the term “triple act” on radio, production, creativity and delivering public value”.
The evening shows will feature familiar voices of veteran Sport expert Alphie Koonyaditse, first class Journalist Goitsemodimo Seleka, Molebogeng Leabile and a new addition Tom Nthane in the early hours of the morning.
Cutting the edge in our weekend line-up is the region’s KING OF MOTSWAKO - Jabulani Tsambo aka HHP taking the helm of “MOTSWAKO” hip hop slot on Friday’s from 20:00-23:00.
Motsweding FM bring’s HHP on board in line with our strategy to promote local music content, especially hip-hop, which originates in the North West Province where the station sits with almost 2million listeners. HHP, a larger than life personality needs no introduction. He is a veteran of the music genre; and in a number of years has made inroads in South African music landscape. Complementing our weekend party Bouquet is Tshwane boy -Tazzman Nkoane from 23:00-03:00 and Mafikeng home girl Nelly Moruri taking takes over DI A BOA from 03:00-06:00.
The ever popular Saturday breakfast show will feature Douglas Mosadi as the new headliner, he will bring his usual comic relief from 7:00-10:00. On his heels is Mokupi Molebatsi with KE MO TENG from 10:00-13:00.
Infusing the Saturday line-up is new Reggae advocate Mpho Nkomo, a.k.a Black Lezoti, who will host our new soulful Reggae sounds “MORIBO WA RAGGAE” from 14:00-15:00pm. This nutty dread sista will keep the movement alive with music and lifestyle issues that not only relevant to the Rastafarian community. The station’s new kid on the block Phenyo Phushudi will take over from 22:00-03:00.
On Sunday, Motsweding FM will never be the same again with a tight jam packed Sunday light programming. The Sunday line-up will take listeners on a journey of self discovery with new comer Will Tiro from Rainbow FM preempting our listener’s faith from 03:00-6:00; whilst the ever popular Modisane Modise will retain his 6:00-10:00 Tumelo-Tumelo-Ya-Gago. The Morning spiritual menu will be enveloped by veteran broadcaster Sammy Rankoane, who will enlighten and advice listeners on how to discover their deeper spiritual connections between 10:00 and 13:00.
In the afternoon we will awaken the listener’s spirits with light programming starting with traditional Setswana music hosted by Modiko Mothupi from 14:00-15:00. Motswedi wa Jazz presented by our Jazz aficionado Sylvester Mfuloane from 18:00-20:00pm, followed by Di-A-Opela (Choral music) at 20:00-21:00pm hosted by the station’s novice Itumeleng Hatane.
Mokupi Molebatsi will then close the door with “MAFIKA” and take the airwave from 21:00pm-00:00 with scintillating sounds and contemporary R&B and Soul music.
The new line-up, innovative segments and packed Imaging will reflect the station new strategy of attracting audiences who were not necessarily touched by Motsweding FM, we will serve the Hip Hop Community, speak to new age listeners, whilst retaining our programming content that will resonate with the listeners of the station said Sibongile Mtyali, Motsweding FM Station Manager.
