The high profile trail has again lifted the lid on the murky underworld of organized crime involving the elite in our society.
Our investigation found that the Ministers wife allegedly had an affair with a man she publically called her brother, Nigerian citizen Frank Nabolisa. Soon after meeting Nabolisa, Sheryl Cwele embarked on numerous overseas trips and began dressing extravagantly. Her preferred routes were Paris, London and New York. These round trips were done in just 4 days. It all pointed to alleged drug smuggling. Cwele also had 5 passports which she used regularly on her travels.
We speak to Marie and Gert Swanepoel the parents of convicted drug mule Tessa Beetge, who is serving an 8year jail term for drug trafficking in a Brazilian prison after she was allegedly recruited by Sheryl.
We also examine the view of opposition parties and trade unions that have called for the State Security Ministers - Siyabonga Cwele to resign after his wife was convicted on drug charges.
