Rex is 15, and like most 15-year-old boys, he likes cars, girls, music and sports. But unlike most 15-year-old boys, he can make his fists the size of boulders, sprout a jet pack out of his back and turn his legs into a lightning-fast motorcycle. These talents are extremely useful to Providence, a global organisation chartered to fight mutant creatures known as E.V.O.s (Exponentially Variegated Organism). Rex is under their care and is their ultimate weapon.

Generator Rex takes place in the aftermath of a global accident, where microscopic machines known as nanites have merged with every living thing. For a select few, the nanites mutate their hosts into monstrous creatures called E.V.O.s. Rex is one such E.V.O., but unlike the monsters he and Providence battle, Rex has control over his nanites. He alone has the ability to not only control these nanites – allowing him to create amazing mechanical limbs and gadgets that aid him in battle – but also heal E.V.O.s of their mutation.

Rex’s powers are incredible, and his importance to Providence and the world is undisputed. But on top of that, he just wants to be a normal teenager and must balance his adrenaline-fueled adventures with the everyday ups and downs of being 15. Rex is joined by a team of characters including his sidekick, a highly intelligent monkey named Bobo Haha who encourages Rex’s mischievous side; his mentor Agent Six, so called for being the world’s sixth deadliest man; the brilliant Dr. Holiday, who seems to be the only one that really understands Rex; and Noah, a regular kid and Rex’s friend. Rex’s greatest threat is an E.V.O. named Van Kleiss, who with his minions called The Pack sees the nanites and resulting E.V.O.s as part of a greater plan and the future of humanity.

Incorporating the voice talents of Fred Savage from The Wonder Years, Darryl Sabara from Spy Kids, Troy Baker from Dragon Ball-Z and JK Simmons from Law and Order, Generator Rex promises to be a new and utterly thrilling experience for Cartoon Network fans. Our young hero wrestles with issues of trust, friendship, loyalty and family all the while saving the human race one E.V.O at a time.
