(Community: Community Affairs)
The Klerksdorp Record is fast growing into one of South Africa's largest selling community newspapers. The weekly paper boasts an average of between 50 and 65 pages together with special supplements that are published from time to time.
The Klerksdorp Record is published in both English and Afrikaans, and is read by 78% of all decision-makers in its circulation area. The paper is distributed every Thursday to the residents of Klerksdorp, Alabama, Coligny, Hartbeesfontein, Leeudoringsatd, Manzilpark, Orkney, Ottosdal, Stilfontein and Wolmaransstad.
Apart from the Klerksdorp Record's main news section, the paper offers reader's weekly sections on entertainment, motoring, property, as well as special newspapers projects, such as the annual street festival, which is the largest of its kind in the country, and bridal competitions.
A strong emphasis on general community news and its expanded sport section add emphasis on the Klerksdorp Record's impact on target markets. The Klerksdorp Record also has the advantage of being printed on the group's own web press in Rustenburg, enabling editorial staff to stretch deadlines as and when the need may arise.
Klerksdorp Record has a print run of 16 500 copies and is represented by The Newspaper Advertising Bureau (NAB).
