Full of home-grown Durban quips and one-liners, Broken Promises 3 is guaranteed to bring you more laughter than ever before.

Come and see old favourites, including the closet-smoking Bommi (Rani Pillay), every daughter-in-law’s worst nightmare, Amsugi (Kogie Naidoo), the compulsive-eating Saras (Maeshni Naicker), the conservative well-dressed Kamla (Roshni Moodley), and the ever girl-finding Reuben (Neel Pillay), who are joined by a host of new faces, bringing plenty of comedy and excitement to the big screen.

After a busy schedule with the TV series, creator and director, Kumaran Naidu, and his wife, Fiona, devised a story that would be fun, witty, and extremely enjoyable – resulting in the creation of Broken Promises 3, which continues to explore the possibilities of different relationships, and unexpected developments in households. But this time around, Amsugi (Kogie Naidoo) faces a challenge from a new potential daughter-in-law, who is highly educated and extremely wealthy. She’s is in well over her head, trying to outwit and outsmart this newest Tamil daughter-in-law, Vimla!

Besides plenty of entertainment from the actors, the soundtrack to the film will get you jiving along and features well-known local artists De’monique, LX Seth, and Mr Ramesh Hassan - who actually performs a song in the film as part of a dream sequence by one of the characters.
