Following the sold-out show in Johannesburg on 1 May 2010, South Africa’s top comedians will once again take to the stage to support the 46664 campaign. The show will be one of the biggest comedy productions ever produced for the live stage in South Africa and is endorsed by
5FM.
The star-studded line-up includes comedy A-listers Riaad Moosa, Nik Rabinowitz, David Kau, Tumi Morake, Chris Forrest, Conrad Koch, Joey Rasdien and Deep Fried Man. Comedy legend John Vlismas will play host on the night and
5FM’s Poppy Ntshongwana is the MC.
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to 46664 to promote and further the humanitarian legacy of its founder, Nelson Mandela.
In addition, the comedians as well as
5FM personalities Poppy and Kim Schulze will be contributing their 67 minutes to a good cause by helping Hugh’s Haven, a children’s care facility in Yeoville, Johannesburg.
The comedians and
5FM DJS have agreed to give their time to come together on Saturday, 19 November to brighten the children’s lives, many of whom are HIV-positive. Activities planned for the day include painting a mural on one of the walls at Hugh’s Haven, decorating cupcakes, sorting donated clothes and making angel decorations which can be sold to generate extra income for Hugh’s Haven.
