Ben 10: Ultimate Challenge will be broadcast on popular kids’ channel Cartoon Network, and is the first show in the Ben 10 franchise to be outsourced to an independent producer.

Commissioned by Turner Broadcasting, the series will be made by leading UK production company Twenty Twenty, with kid’s TV programming credentials including the likes of The Big Performance, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Evacuation.

Ben 10: Ultimate Challenge will be the producer’s first studio-based, youth-focused, action show. Executive producer, Daniel Marlowe, worked on Big Brother for five years while series producer, Mandy Morris’ credentials include Dating in the Dark, My Camp Rock and Safari Eight.

Ben 10: Ultimate Challenge launched on 11 November and bolsters live action fun, heart and brain power.

In Ultimate Challenge, our hero takes viewers into his electrifying world as his reality is brought to life. Watch as participants in the game-show answer questions about the Ben 10 animation series and compete against each other in a number of mental and physical tasks, in order to become the Ben 10: Ultimate Challenge champion. The Ben 10 themed set is located in an 8 000 square feet London-based studio. All content in the new game-show is inspired by the three Cartoon Network-produced animation series – Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien.

Michael Carrington, chief content officer at Turner Broadcasting, said: “Ben 10: Ultimate Challenge represents an exciting next step in the Ben 10 franchise, and it’s been great working with Twenty Twenty to bring this ambitious project to fruition. We’re thrilled that Ben 10 has reached a point where it merits its own spin-off show based on the popular and much-loved series. The show will be a fantastic way for Ben 10 fans across the globe to pit their knowledge about their favourite hero against each other.”

Tim Carter, CEO at Twenty Twenty comments: “Ben 10: Ultimate Challenge provides us with an exciting new challenge.
