Mi Casa won the coveted MTN Record of the Year at the
SAMAs for their smash hit single 'These Streets'. This category was voted for by the music-loving public, proving that this outfit is scorching-hot property at the moment.
At the awards at Sun City on 29 and 30 April, the trio also scooped
SAMAs for Duo/Group of the Year and Best Dance Album, for their début album
Mi Casa Music. Fresh from this triumph, Mi Casa will be performing at Swaziland’s
MTN Bushfire International Festival of the Arts on Saturday, 26 May at 23:30.
The festival takes place at the House on Fire venue in the scenic Malkerns Valley from 25 to 27 May, and features an eclectic array of top-drawer southern African and international acts as well as well as a diverse offering of interactive art, theatre, crafts and much more.
Mi Casa was started by three soulful individuals – Dr Duda (producer/DJ), J’Something (vocalist/guitarist) and Mo-T (trumpeter) - and has gone on to take South Africa by storm with their jazzy, soulful house beats. Now this dynamic live act is inviting festival-goers to feel at home and make “Mi casa es su casa” (my house is your house) at
MTN Bushfire 2012!
