The Muses are made up of Olivia Kotze (Violin), Anna Peacock (Cello), Mia Snyman (Violin) and Reabetswe (Ruby) Ngoasheng (Viola). These four beauties have been imbued with seemingly inhuman talent and they boast over 50 years of classical music experience between them.
The Muses also recently released their debut album,
Pop on Strings, via Electromode. On this juggernaut of a pop-album, they pay homage to some of the most popular tracks of 2011. The Muses apply their masterful skills with their string-instruments to create versions of tracks like:
Human by The Killers; Lady Gaga’s
Edge of Glory and Kings of Leon’s
Use Somebody, you could never even have imagined. The album was arranged by esteemed composer, Mark Cheyne, and was recorded at CSR Studios in Bryanston.
When The Muses aren’t busy recording mind-blowing albums, they are touring both nationally and internationally, bringing style, grace and tons of fun to every event. They have performed at many high profile events, including The Guess Summer 2012 Fashion Show and the launch of the Mercedes CLS (Gelanderwågen and the Freightliner) in Namibia as well as recently performing in the Seychelles.
