The talented trio of Vanessa Harris, Lucy Tops and Leani Ekermans will wow audiences with their powerful harmonies and slick choreography, while inviting them to test their music trivia: who sang the theme from Top Gun? Who’s won the most Grammys? Who’s got the brains to take on their quiz? Play the game or be a spectator – the choice is yours, but there are prizes to be won! It’s high-energy entertainment with a difference, guaranteed to get the whole family in the groove.

Harris runs Follow Spot Productions with her husband Ash Searle, creating and producing shows such as Love at First Fight, Absolucy and Big Boys Don’t Dance, which won a Standard Bank Ovation Award at the 2010 National Art Festival. They will be presenting five of their productions under one roof at the 2012 festival. Her list of credits includes The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Buddy Holly Story, We Will Rock You, the late Bill Flynn’s film Running Riot, as well as Follow Spot’s original shows.

Ekermans is a singer, dancer, actress and model. She received her ATCL in Musical Theatre at the Waterfront Theatre School and has performed in high-profile shows such as The Great Moscow Circus, Mike McCullagh’s 60 Something and Station 70, That 80's Show and also alongside soprano Aviva Pelham.

An accomplished recording artist as well as stage performer, Tops is currently working on her début album with Stereotype Records. Chad Saaiman wrote her first single, 'Higher Ground', and she recently released her second track called 'Love To Breathe', which was composed by Kyle Petersen. She has worked in China as a singer in a Hilton Hotel, and performed in shows such as Absolucy, Glory Days, Dancing Queen and That 80's Show.

“There are only 12 performances of Face The Music, so don’t miss the chance to catch Follow Spot’s latest, high-voltage production,” says Simon Cooper, owner of Kalk Bay Theatre.

Face The Music will be performed Wednesdays to Saturdays at 20:30 from 6 to 23 June. Doors open at 18:30 and seating is unreserved. Guests can enjoy a two or three course meal created by Kalk Bay Theatre’s chef Hannah McMahon with dessert and coffee after the show.
