SABC2’s new South African family drama series,
Erfsondes, is designed to cross boundaries and appeal to all South Africans.
A saga about heritage, family, mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, sibling rivalry and love, the series looks at how the sins of the past can return to haunt one in the future.
The 13 episode multilingual series follows the journey of Kate Ferreira searching for her family, and in the process, becoming involved in the lives of thirteen diversely different South African families – each with their own sins.
Erfsondes is written by Henriëtta Gryffenberg and directed by Bobby Heaney. It will be screened on SABC2 on Tuesday evenings from 3 July at 19:30.
