When people grow older, they become lonely and they need support. They find this not necessarily from their own family but from a newly found family, often consisting of old friends. They are now at a point in their lives, where the frills are forgotten and you want to get to the core of being - with a twist of gin and tonic.

The show captures the tone, the unconscious and nearly universal aspect of living here now and engages audiences on a deep level. Age is purely chronological … one is as old as they want to be.

This time around viewers will see new faces in the form of Tsholofelo Monedi formerly with Muvhango playing Meme, and Jerry Phele who played the role of Mofokeng on Emzini Wezinsizwa. Also joining the stellar cast is Thakane Sesi Matoni who plays the role of Softie and Queen Motlatle who plays the role of Twiggy. Lillian Dube and Mary Twala are the remaining faces from season one.

"The fact that the comedy is making a welcome return shows that the programme did well in the first season. After all television is about giving viewers what they want. With the new characters who have joined this stellar cast we believe that we will take from where we left off in the first season and hope that the viewers will enjoy the second season," said SABC2's publicist, Lebo Malete.
