Mtv first introduced True Life in 1998, to give insights into the ordinary and extraordinary lives and experiences of real people. Encompassing more than 200 episodes over 15 years, True Life has investigated more than 140 subjects from drug use to debt, body image to relationships, sexuality to surrogacy and politics to pornography.

Three upcoming new episodes of True Life shine the spotlight on young people struggling to come to terms with different aspects of their lives: True Life: I have Orthorexia; True Life: I’m Addicted to Sex and True Life: I’m Supporting My Man.

True Life: I Have Orthorexia: Orthorexia is a term used to describe an eating disorder in which people severely limit their diets in the name of healthy eating. On this episode of True Life, viewers will meet three young people who are so obsessed with "righteous eating" that their mental and physical health is being compromised. Spring has been eating only raw food for two years and now purges every time she ingests anything that's been cooked. Andrew has severely restricted his diet because he fears that consuming even a morsel of impure food could cause cancer. Lauren eats only ten foods that she deems are "safe" while her social life is falling apart due to her increasingly rigid eating habits. Their good intentions are starting to backfire. Will they be able to overcome their obsessions and regain a more balanced relationship with the food they eat?

True Life: I Have Orthorexia premieres on Mtv, channel 130 on DStv on Sunday, 17 February at 20:30.

True Life: I’m Addicted to Sex: In this episode of True Life viewers will meet two young people whose lives are in disarray because they're utterly consumed by their sexual desires. Brittany constantly wants - and constantly begs - to make love with her boyfriend. But no matter how much he gives, she always wants more. Isaax has been getting busy with multiple partners every day, for years - preventing him from finding love and even from holding a job. Their sex drives are in over-drive. Can they hit the brakes - or will they finally spin out of control?

True Life: I’m Addicted to Sex premieres on Mtv, channel 130 on DStv on Sunday, 24 February at 20:30.

True Life: I’m Supporting My Man: In this episode of True Life, viewers will meet two young women being pushed to the brink by financially dependent partners who are contributing nothing to the family coffers. Pregnant Kayla is waitressing to pay the bills because her Brazilian husband can't afford to get his green card. Sateema is forced to strip to pay the rent because Josh, the father of her two kids, hasn't had a job in years. Will Kayla and Sateema continue to bear the burden on their own? Or will their men finally step up to the plate?

True Life: I’m Supporting My Man premieres on Mtv, channel 130 on DStv on Sunday, 3 March at 20:30.
