Combining live action with puppets, Mr Bloom’s Nursery is a show that teaches pre-school children to love vegetables.

Young children can learn important life lessons from the experience of nurturing plants and vegetables. With catchy original music, each episode sees young helpers welcomed into Mr Bloom’s garden to help him look after his plants and produce.

Magical things happen on Mr Bloom’s allotment; the children discover that inside the garden shed is a group of lively and mischievous young vegetable puppets that they can play with and care for, including bossy Joan the fennel, daring Colin the runner-bean and shy Margaret the cabbage.

Mr Bloom’s Nursery helps children to find inspiration in the natural world around them, and to have fun caring for and nurturing their environment.

In series two, the Tiddlers learn how to make a natural tonic while the Veggies have a go at karaoke, Joan tries to cheer Raymond up by pretending to be a robot, and the Wee MacGregors create a cardboard castle.

Mr Bloom’s Nursery will be broadcast from Monday, 13 May at 14:55 and Wednesday, 15 May at 10:55 on CBeebies, channel 306 on DStv.
