On Sunday, 12 May at 18:30 on SABC1, Ndumiso Hadebe was announced the winner of One Day Leader 2. Clearly overwhelmed, Hadebe, aged 21 and from Vereeniging, is a firm believer in the importance of honouring those around you.
Hadebe says, “This life is about service to others and the persistent pursuit to leave a place better than it was when we found it. That the greatest accolade man can achieve, is that of making a difference and establishing a legacy of nation building.”
Ndumiso’s prize as winner of One Day Leader 2 includes a Shanduka Black Umbrella three year mentorship programme to start a business, R50 000, and R10 000 for their community project.
Hadebe is highly motivated and inspired by seeing people realise their true and full potential. He is a sports fanatic, loves music and singing, leadership and governance. “My life is centred on people, working with them, experiencing challenges with them and being of service to them. I’m so grateful for this One Day Leader opportunity; I will use this platform to serve, inform and inspire a new kind of leader, a new kind of young person and a new generation of young people who are driven to become masters of their own destiny,” ends Hadebe.
