South Africa’s best-selling weekend newspaper the Sunday Times, and leading daily, The Times, are both included in the new Sunday Times Plus subscription that combines print and digital news delivery for only R85 per month.

The combination of print with digital news delivery answers the accessibility demands of readers, while creating new opportunities for advertisers as well. Jason Sequeira, general manager of Circulation, Times Media, says, “There has been a proliferation of mobile devices in South Africa, and as result consumers now access news in more than one way.”

The Sunday Times Plus subscriptions allow long-standing print newspaper readers to access the award-winning content of both the Sunday Times and The Times on the web, on their mobile tablet device, still with the option of hard-copy delivery to a physical address. Two configurations are available in the Sunday Times Plus subscriptions:

The first option is completely digital, and includes e-paper delivery. E-papers are 100% replicas of the printed newspaper, but with additional tools to enhance the reading experience. Delivery is to devices by 07:30 for the Sunday Times, and 06:00 for The Times, making the news available first thing in the morning:

- Sunday Times and The Times e-papers;
- Sunday Times web access; and
- Sunday Times app.

The second option includes hard-copy newspaper delivery, together with digital access:

- Sunday Times and The Times print edition;
- Sunday Times web access; and
- Sunday Times app.
