The Fezile Dabi HIV/AIDS Benefit Events presents a mass awareness programme involving and including all in the community of the district and its neighbouring provinces while focusing on community involvement. The programme has attracted more people to participate since its inception in 2004 by reaching and capturing the attention through entertainment while educating and raising funds. 2013 marks the tenth year anniversary of the concert and 2013 Campaign message is 'Knowing Makes A Difference'.

For its tenth year, the concert is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 30 November at Abrahamsrust Resort in Sasolburg, bringing together a very impressive line-up of some of the country’s best artists like multiple SAMA winners Mafikizolo, SAMA Record of the Year Award winner Sifiso Ncwane, Dr Malinga, Selaelo Selota, Thandiswa Mazwai, Tshepo Tshola and legendary jazz musician and composer, Caiphus Semenya.

As with previous years, monthly events have been held to create the awareness and build up to the benefit concert. The mayoral fun walk/run that will be followed by a soccer and netball tournament will include a whole aspect of health and wellness awareness activities, free on-site HIV testing, and entertainment provided by some of the local artists. A comedy evening will feature top comedians and some local Fezile Dabi talent as well.

The benefit concert has a strong aspect of local development and aims to create a positive contribution towards a campaign that seeks to drive HIV/Aids awareness and to raise funds for various NGO’s within the Fezile Dabi District Municipality.
