MMAs, including Best Produced Album, Best Duo/Group and Best African Pop Album for their album
Reunited. Uhuru took the most prestigious award of the evening, Song of the Year, for their track
Y-Tjukuja, from their album
Our Father.
Y-Tjukuja also landed them the award for Best Collaboration, as it features Oskido, Professor and DJ Buks.
MMA newcomer, Nomfundo Xaluva collected the award for Best Urban Jazz Album for her debut album,
Kusile. Character’s
Self Control received the award for Best Kwaito Album, while Heavy K won the Best Dance Album category for
Respect the Drumboss 2013.

Metro FM Music Awards, hailed as one of SA’s biggest music events, was hosted by the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government, City of Durban and BP South Africa. The ceremony was held at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Conference Centre (ICC) in Durban on Saturday, 1 March.
