LM Radio, which was voted the top music radio station in Mozambique in 2012 and in 2013 has operated a music radio station in the style of the original LM Radio since December 2009. LM Radio broadcasts Happy music consisting of Adult Contemporary and Gold format music with a proven track record.

The founder of LM Radio, Chris Turner, said, “LM Radio provides a unique music format which specifically targets the more mature audience aged 40 years and older.”
He went on to say “LM Radio has proven its format by serving an audience of over 150 000 listeners on FM in Mozambique and Lesotho and to South Africa on the Internet and Free to Air satellite. There has been an overwhelming demand for LM Radio to broadcast in South Africa. The granting of this licence by ICASA means that LM Radio will be able to meet the needs of our target audience. We are proud to have been voted the Top Radio radio station in Mozambique for the second year running.”

LM Radio is expected to take to the air on 702 kHz in Gauteng late in 2014 once the transmitter facilities have been constructed by Sentech.
