Varshan Sookhun, who is a radio presenter said, “I have always been very passionate about being involved with various charitable causes, and am also a follower of fashion trends, so when this opportunity of creating and producing an event that brought these elements together presented itself, I had to jump at the chance to make it happen”.

Sookhun together with the Geness Foundation have nominated the KwaZulu Natal Blind & Deaf Society as the beneficiary for this inaugural event.

“I admire how this organisation assists and empowers the blind, partially blind and the deaf within our society, as well as how it meets the Geness Foundation objective who support and have established projects that respond to the critical development needs of all humanity in the arena of Health, Education, Entrepreneurship and Sport in Africa,” he said.

There will be eight fashion designers who will be showcasing their work at this event as well as jewellery designers who will be participating. Items that will be featured will include executive male & ladies wear, evening wear, swimwear, cocktail and one of the most interesting categories introduced – the recycled category.

Doors will open at 17:00 with tickets, available at Computicket, costing just R150 per person for this worthy cause.
