It shares borders with the neighbouring countries of Botswana, Mozambique and Zimbabwe – a proximity which makes it the perfect springboard for exploring the riches of this exciting part of the African continent.

SABC2 and SABC’s Phalaphala FM teamed up with The Royal Gardens for the third installment of the Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival.

This event will play host to a unique melting pot of cultures, coming together for an enormous celebration.

With an expected turnout of 10 000 to 12 000 people, this music festival will bring out South Africa’s crème de la crème artists who will cater to every market. In celebration of 20 years of democracy, they will perform hits and legends in the music scene from the past 20 years. Expect to be blown away by the likes of Mafikizolo, Ringo Madlingozi, Oliver Mtukudzi, Khuli Chana and iFani, who will be accompanied by DJs such as Sphe & Naves, Fresh & Euphonik and the Naked DJ among others.

The Phalahala FM Royal Heritage Festival will provide the province with an opportunity to unify its citizens and their neighbouring countries to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and promote tourism in the province, elevating the level of growing excitement amongst young adults, emerging business individuals, students and tourist enthusiasts.
