Michaletos is represented in collections worldwide and is a former recipient of the United Nations
Philatelic Award in New York, the only South African artist to have been honoured in this way. She is also a generous donor of her works to charitable institutions, including the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
This will be her first solo exhibition in the Cape.
Says Joëlene Hitchcock of De Oude Drostdy: “We are extremely proud to be hosting an exhibition of such calibre. It forms an important part of this year's
Tulbagh Arts Festival in our town but will run for several weeks thereafter to allow as many art lovers as possible the opportunity to view this exciting collection of works.”
Visitors to the exhibition will also have the opportunity to sample wines in the new-look Drostdy-Hof range.
Opening times during the
Tulbagh Arts Festival:
- Friday, 12 September from 09:00 to 17:00;
- Saturday, 13 September from 10:00 to 15:00; and
- Sunday, 14 September from 10:00 to 13:00.
