And so the art of film and acting was born, a demanding and innovative discipline that has now been around for almost a century.
This eight week course will help students understand the difference between acting for the stage and acting for the screen. The basics are obviously the same, it is the transition from stage to screen that needs application.
Students will gain insights into differences, such as: the location of the audience; the divergent performance styles required; emotional variations..
By the end of the course, students will have learnt how to block and prep for a scene on camera. Each student will present an edited scene using much of the curriculum from the eight weeks. Parents will be invited to watch the final class.
