Life with KJ will be showcasing local community heroes that are affecting positive change, focusing on stories in the news and other stories South Africans often don’t hear about. The show hopes to inspire by featuring heroes from all walks of life. Every week the audience will be invited to nominate people that are creating positive change in their communities.

“This show is enabling me to combine all the things I love – generating content ideas, producing content, presenting and showcasing people that are making a difference in my neck of the woods,” say Johnson. Johnson also co-hosts the breakfast show Planet Haaibo on Radio 2000 and produces and presents her own show called Saturday Night Live on Radio 2000.

The first episode of Life with KJ takes viewers to Atlantis, a half-hour drive outside the Mother City. Johnson will be interviewing Barbara Rass, who initiated the House of Healing for abused women and children as well as Francis Kippie and Barbara van Bo who have a garden project that provides a colourful and tranquil space for the community.

Life with KJ will air on Fridays at 20:30 and repeats on Sundays at 15:00 and Wednesdays at 09:30. The first series includes 13 shows.
