On Wednesday, 28 November, 567 CapeTalk’s Lisa Chait will treat guests to another afternoon of Lisa Live at the station’s studios at Somerset Square in Greenpoint, starting at 14.30. Guest speaker Gary Bonney of the South African Business Coalition on HIV and Aids’s will talk about “HIV/Aids - How Your Business Should Respond.”

The talk will focus on: the drafting and implementation of an HIV/Aids policy for small and medium businesses, the legal rights of the employer and employee, the health and welfare of employees and the socio-economic impact of HIV/Aids on your business.

Between 10 and 40 percent of the South African workforce is infected with the virus, with an even larger number affected by the pandemic. If you’re doing business in this country, you can not avoid dealing with HIV/Aids. The session promises to provide useful information for small to medium business owners and their employees.
