Capricorn FM was launched on 26 November, six months after receiving its commercial broadcast license.
The station is the brainchild of former
Metro FM talkshow host, Given Mkhari. It is owned by a consortium, with MSG Africa Media, led by businessman Simphiwe Mdlalose as the biggest shareholder.
The station aims to be progressive, distinctive and diverse and contribute to the development of Limpopo.
Capricorn FM’s studios are located in Bendor, Polokwane. It broadcasts on the following frequencies: 89.9 (Sibasa); 96.0 (Mokopane / Polokwane); 97.6 (Tzaneen); 98.0 (Hoedspruit); and 105.5 (Louis Trichardt).
Capricorn FM will be broadcast in Sepedi, Xitsonga, Tshivenda and English.
